SOAR · Phase 0 → Day 1

Am I active yet?

The question every new agent asks at 11 pm. Six things to check — when all six are true, you’re an eXp agent and Phase 1 starts.

  1. eXp emails have started arrivingWhen emails from eXp Realty begin — account activations, login credentials, training, technology access, compliance — your application has been approved and onboarding is underway. Save every one of them in an “eXp Emails” folder.
  2. Onboarding payment clearedThe one-time startup fee and first monthly tech fee ran on the card you gave. If you're not sure, ask your sponsor or eXp Agent Support.
  3. Your license movedYour state licensing board shows eXp Realty as your brokerage. Your BIC, your association, or the state LLR site can confirm it.
  4. Direct deposit is setLog in to my.eXp and check the banking section. Commissions pay out fast here — if the banking is right.
  5. You have an eXp email addressIt's assigned during onboarding and forwards to your normal inbox. You'll send from it through Gmail — that's a Phase 1 task.
  6. Okta worksYour Okta credentials are the master key: my.eXp, eXp University, Workplace, SkySlope, and most of the cloud open with them. Store them somewhere safe. When Okta works, you're active — Day 1.

What Okta is

Think of Okta as your master key to the eXp ecosystem. One username and password opens most of the platforms you’ll use every day. You’ll still have separate logins for your MLS, your CRM, and some marketing tools — keep all of them in one safe place from day one.

The emails you’ll get in the first two weeks

They come from several eXp systems, not one sender, which is why the folder matters. Expect, roughly in this order:

  • Application received, then approved
  • Okta activation and my.eXp login
  • Your eXp email address
  • SkySlope (transactions) account
  • eXp University and training access
  • Technology and marketing tools (Toolkits, CRM of choice, Canva)
  • Compliance and brand guidelines
  • Stock plan (Shareworks) invitation — that one can wait until Phase 4
